According to statistics, there are more than 70 public institutions in Macao, and each institution needs to count tens of thousands of assets on average every year. The traditional asset inventory mainly relies on manual operations, which costs a lot of human and financial resources. The proposed intelligent public asset management system in this project is concentrated on the key technologies of radio frequency identification antennas, and successfully resolves the problem of planar end-fire circularly polarized antenna technique for handheld devices, which not only realizes technical breakthroughs in public asset management, but also promotes the technological progress in smart city development of Macao. Till now, the academic research result of this project have been awarded as a highly cited paper, which is highly concerned by other research experts in this field. During this project, we cultivate three outstanding graduates and realize the industrialization of the academic achievements, and then establish the first high-tech startup in Macao which is focused on providing radio frequency identification solutions. In addition, the proposed technical solution or the intelligent system has served 10 public institutions in Macau, generating direct economic benefits of tens of millions of Macao dollar and providing dozens of jobs.
