Female Pelvic Floor Dysfunction (FPFD) is one of the five most common chronic diseases affecting women’s physical and mental health. Due to the absence of early recognition of FPFD and simple, objective and accurate diagnostic methods, many women are at risk of missing the early diagnosis and non-invasive treatment period of FPFD. This project has served the following innovative purposes:
1)To be the pioneer in establishing the standards and technical specifications for the application of ultrasound diagnosis of FPFD in Macao by providing an objective diagnostic basis for the early clinical diagnosis of FPFD;
2) To take the lead in using perinealultrasound to diagnose FPFD in Macao and to prove its objectiveness and effectiveness;
3) To clarify that perineal ultrasound can accurately assess the effectiveness of FPFD treatment methods with objective evidence;
4) To further promote the awareness of FPFD among doctors and the general public.

These achievements provide innovative ideas and methods for the early diagnosis and intervention of FPFD. This, will help to promote the prevention and public awareness of postpartum FPFD in Macao, resulting in positive social and economic influences.
