The Chinese-Portuguese-English Neural Machine Translation Platform is an innovative achievement of interdisciplinary application of computer science and linguistics. The platform has established the largest, most accurate and most professional Chinese and Western Portuguese corpus in the world. The platform has achieved core technological breakthroughs in the research fields of big data, artificial intelligence and machine translation, and combines machine translation based on deep learning and multi-layer neural network with rule-based, example-based and statistics-based methods to achieve the world’s leading machine translation in Chinese-Portugal translation. The Chinese-Portuguese and Portuguese-Chinese Official Document Auxiliary Translation System, the Chinese-Portuguese-English Speech Recognition Simultaneous Interpretation System, the Chinese-Portuguese News Learning Application and the Chinese-Portuguese Language Learning Application (Diz lá!) developed on the basis of the platform have been widely used in Macao government departments and commercial organizations, and extended to Portuguese-speaking countries, greatly improving work efficiency and reducing translation costs. The platform has achieved epoch-making progress in corpus construction, system perfection, translation accuracy, product diversification and market application, which helps to promote the development of Macao’s science and technology and optimize its industrial structure.
